Why shouldn't women try to have it all if that's what they want?
Bridget Jones author Helen Fielding recently described the desire to have it all as 'a modern disease'. But why shouldn't that be our aim, asks Helen Birch.

In business it's still the same old story for holding women back, research shows that barriers that still exist;
- Childcare
- Finance
- Opportunites to network at an affordable price
- Access to specialist business support
Confusion of where to go and how to get help are all barriers that women face when wanting to start a business or grow an existing business. It is also suggested that lack of business skills, networking skills and mentoring are also in short supply. For a lone parent also wanting to start a business enterprise and come off benefits is not allowed working tax credits untill they are 25.
Women have completely different working lives to men... um I guess it gets easier when we have loads of money, nannies a cook, a maid, gardner would be handy... but alas they do not come for free so the rest of us have to yes you guessed it - Juggle!!
