MANHATTAN BRIDES

Imagine your wedding ceremony set amongst the beautiful English gardens in Central Park, followed by champagne and canapés in one of New York’s most exclusive restaurants

or maybe a romantic reception overlooking New York's famous skyline, completed with a beautiful horse and carriage ride snuggled under a blanket watching the stars.

The Bridal Consultant offers the ultimate tailored experience for exclusive destination weddings. New York weddings range from themes such as breakfast at Tiffany's, 50's inspired weddings to more traditional ceremonies - anything is possible in the cosmopolitan city that never sleeps! Guests can even implement the famous sights of New York as part of the reception package, with visits to the ‘Sex And The City' set, where you can walk around Manhattan a la Carrie Bradshaw or visit ‘Friends' legendary coffee house ‘The Central Perk' and Broadway, nothing is too much for the Bridal Consultant who can tailor every single aspect to make it the perfect dream wedding.

In New York, most ceremonies take place in Central Park where the bride and groom can exchange vows. The most private location is the exquisite private English Garden (part of The Conservatory Gardens), which has a stunning fountain, surrounded by blossoming flowers in the spring / summer and harvests an aisle of spectacular red and golden leaves in autumn / winter. The Conservatory Gardens consist of three delightful gardens; the English Garden, the French Garden and the Italian Garden, each named after the style and type of planting.

The most popular destination is the ‘Ladies Pavilion', a Victorian cast-iron pavilion originally used as a shelter from the elements for people waiting for the trolley at 8th Avenue and 59th Street, which now stands surrounded by lush plants and trees. In spring / summer the ‘Ladies Pavilion' is covered in lilac flowers, situated next to ‘The Pond', which is populated by small turtles. This is a very popular location for couples who want to incorporate a romantic rowing boat ride on the lake into their wedding.

The second most popular location is the ‘Cop Cot', which is Scottish for ‘little house on the crest of the hill'. The ‘Cop Cot' is Central Park's largest wooden rustic structure and is tucked away with panoramic views of New York's famous skyline overhead.

Wedding photos can be set beside landmarks such as the Bow Bridge, Bethesda Fountain, the Mall and the Boathouse, made famous by many films set in New York.  Afterwards, the bride and groom can take a horse and carriage around the park or hire live musicians and take their first romantic dance under the Ladies Pavilion.

Lisa Burton founder of the Bridal Consultant who has planned over 600 weddings says:  "A New York bride is generally very confident, has visited New York before and picks a particular theme or something typically New York. No day is the same; some guests visit the "top of the Rock" at the Rockefeller building then head to the reception, others have a picnic in the park or even a traditional New York burger! One of our clients even hired a double decker red bus to take their friends and family on a tour of New York after the wedding!

All stages of the wedding  process are guided by the consultants with all planning and paperwork being administered in the U.K and full legal support by English contracts to help ensure your dream wedding runs smoothly to the last detail.
