KAREN SCOFIELD-SEAL, Lucza London

Before moving as an adult to Manhattan where she embarked on an extensive career in the media.  In 2000, and six months pregnant with her first daughter Georgina, Karen happily moved to London with her husband John to start a family and to pursue work with prestigious charities Comic Relief and (RED), the social enterprise brand started by Bono and Bobby Shriver.   Four years later, her daughter Charlotte was born.

In New York, Karen's positions in television, special event production and marketing led to work with the US Open (tennis), the NFL and network partners including Super Bowl Television, and ABC News Productions where she developed programme format for a daily live entertainment and news show.  Looking for a more effective way to juggle a career with family needs, Karen turned her attention to the fashion industry after noticing a considerable gap in the market and set about establishing luxury leisurewear label, LUCZA.  This came about after a long and unsuccessful search for pieces that Karen could throw on, look and feel smart and stylish yet completely comfortable, whether for a dinner party or dinner with her family.

"I would come home from work and want to take off the heels, tights and skirt but not look like I was ready for bed at 7pm.  I wanted stylish clothes that were relaxed but sophisticated, truly effortless chic and above all, versatile."

Karen's mission for LUCZA is to develop a collection that always meets four goals; unsurpassed quality; luxurious timelessness; versatility and comfort.  "I knew I was on to a winner when testing samples of the luxuriously soft LUCZA palazzo trousers with the Tunic Top one evening and my daughter was dropped off after a play date and a Mum said, "Wow, you look smart and my husband came home later and said the same thing!"

The LUCZA e-tail website  provides a one-stop shop for luxurious and elegant loungewear and will offer next day delivery, beautifully boxed and free returns, visit the fabulous collection at Lucza
