I can still remember the day I was moved here. It was 7th May 2008. A lot of people have influenced me in my life but none as much as my friend and carer Michelle.

I was very disruptive before I was put into care and one step at a time Michelle has helped me make a fresh start. We have had a lot of ups and downs while living together, but she always encourages me to make the right decisions and we've also had lots of laughs. It saddens me that I am being moved on soon but I will never forget how she influenced my life. She was always telling me how well I've done and how bright my future is going to be and even when I have fallen back to square one, she has always supported me and made sure I got back on my feet.

Although I'm soon leaving her care, I am still going to keep in touch and let her know how I am doing and how thankful I am to her for getting me back on the straight and narrow. She has been the biggest influence on me in all my life; I find it amazing how someone who I barely knew two years ago has influenced me in such a huge way. She's taught me not to back down from something I'm afraid of and to keep trying and always stay strong because I'm going to succeed in the end. I've never had someone who thought so much of me; if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be who I am today.

She made me speak for myself when no one would let me and she helped me brave the rough things in life. She helped me get rid of my craze of self harming when the road got too hard and told me I have to fight through and be a person who achieves their goal. She was always there when I needed to chat and making sure I'm happy but the thing that made me happy was the simple fact that even though she was a parent figure, she stayed my best friend. I will never forget the time I spent with her and I know that when I'm out of care, I will go to her house and thank her for helping me through the toughest part of my life and influencing me to follow my dreams.
