Working Woman’s, Beauty Editor, Faye Yarnall reveals the new make-up trends that are dominating the catwalk for Spring / Summer 2011

From 70’s fever to marvellous magenta, Spring / Summer 2011 sees a kaleidoscope of bright, bold and eye popping hues on the runway. Marvellous Magenta Magenta - the new hue for S/S 2011 is more subtle than fuchsia, yet easier to wear than purple was seen on the catwalk at Sonia Rykiel at Paris Fashion Week. 70's Fever Get ready to boogie in S/S 2011, as multicoloured eyeshadows and glossy red lips make a comeback, as seen on the runway at Giles Deacon at London Fashion Week. Eye Popping Hues Blocks of colour in eye popping shades of orange and yellow were seen on the runway at Peter Sam and Derek Lamb who added their own unique twist to the futuristic art attack trend at New York Fashion Week. Denim Eyes White wash, lavender, navy and pale blue were used to convey denim inspired eyes on the runway at Roberto Cavalli at Milan Fashion Week. Festival Glam Glowing skin, shimmering beige eyes and pearly pink lips were seen on the runway at Custo Barcelona at New York Fashion Week. Statement Blue Royal blue, eye brightening and pastel blue made a strong statement on the runways at Mary Katrantzou and Louise Gray at London Fashion Week. Flushed Cheeks Intensely flushed cheeks in shades of coral and orange were seen on the runway at the House of Holland at London Fashion Week.
