A Cami Confidential

Ladies fashion brand, Cami Confidential is showing its support for The Genesis Appeal by donating 50p from each sale towards the charity.

A Cami Confidential

Set up by couture designer, Yvonne Gillon, the Cami Confidential is a simple yet effective solution to help women regain their self-esteem after undergoing a mastectomy. The lightweight stretch lace top cami, which is available in two styles and 14 colours, puts an end to fashion compromises and has been designed to suit all occasions - whether it's for a wedding, a night out, or just for everyday use -  and works with any piece of clothing.

Yvonne explained: "I got the idea when I was designing a wedding outfit for a lady who had recently had a mastectomy and was feeling vulnerable. Her main worry was that if she leant forward, others would see her scars, or notice her prostheses. She searched the high street, but couldn't find anything suitable; everything was either too low, too wide or too baggy."

Cami confidentialYvonne rose to the challenge and designed the Cami Confidential which, because of its clever cut, hugs the chest and will not gape when bending forward. As such it provides a camouflaging effect and gives a good shape over a bra, renewing confidence.

Yvonne continued: "I have seen first hand how having breast cancer surgery can impact on a person's confidence. The Cami Confidential was created to allow women to maintain their femininity, elegance and confidence. It may sound basic that a simple cami can make such a difference, but the feedback we have received from customers has been amazing. The Cami Confidential really has taken the stress out of shopping for many women and given them more wardrobe options."
