The Working Woman initiative is a collaborative network of inspirational entrepreneurs supporting people interested in business, enterprise, careers, lifestyle and all the other areas that are important in our life.
Christina Lima Trindade, Serial Entrepreneur, Coach, Mentor, Business Advisor, Writer, Consultant and Speaker, is the founder of Working Woman UK, and co-founder of Entrepreneurs Ladder and has a passion for supporting women and Schools in business and enterprise. Her clients range from pre-start to 80m turnover. An inspirational role model, she has helped many businesses to start and grow.
Her approach is fast paced and hands on in developing the new generation of do it yourself entrepreneurs. She has a professional team of experts working alongside her with Working Woman. Christina has spent a considerable amount of time involved in ethically and environmentally-friendly businesses.
Christina is a trained business advisor and is currently part of the delivery team at SENTA www.senta.co.uk for Sheffield City Councils’ Solutions for Business project. She has developed business and enterprise start up programmes for schools and women. She has also worked internationally raising awareness and essential funds for www.ccwltd.org www.malealea.org and will be developing the project Working Woman International throughout 2010/2011.Co-founder of the social enterprise Entrepreneurs Ladder www.entrepreneursladder.co.uk and the creator of the UK 1st Working Woman Expo in 2008 with 50 exhibitors, 350 visitors in the day and over 250 people attending the charity fashion show in the evening encouraging Sheffield’s young girls to their very own Challenge Gok special with a recycled twist on just a budget of £20 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9SelYCAKeM
Passionate about business and enterprise for women and children in particular helping people out of frustration to build new skills to be able to be successful in starting their own business. Christina has an established network of contacts and draws on her own extensive experiences when speaking. Supported by Barclays bank for the last 2 years Christina and her network of 1000 women have organised and delivered a range of events and conferences aimed at up-skilling women professionally and personally, encouraging diversity and creative businesses to celebrate success. Christina believes that women are vital in building a strong economy and encouraging youngsters to also be entrepreneurial.
With 680’000 female owned businesses in the UK this needs to be celebrated and more needs to be done in enabling others to climb the ladder back to work or into enterprise. In Africa the saying goes.. if you teach a man you teach a man, if you teach a woman – you teach a family, you teach a community. There is much work to be done and we can all help to achieve that.
